Our Edmonton Yoga classes will get your body and mind healthy and happy! We offer small group classes perfect for one-on-one instruction.
Yoga can aid in conception by helping to reduce stress through breathing techniques, meditation, and conscious movement. It also helps increase blood flow and circulation to the reproductive organs, relieves nerve compression, and detoxifies the organs for optimal performance and hormone balance. Prenatal yoga helps open and stretch the body as it begins to change to make room for your baby. Prenatal yoga is a safe way to relieve compression and tension in the shoulders, the lower back, and hips as well as aid in the circulation of bodily fluids that increase during pregnancy. Mom & Baby Yoga
This class is a combination of gentle yoga postures as well as poses to incorporate movement with the baby. Babies will also receive a little yoga practice to create a bit of mobility and interact with mom. This class is a nice way to meet with other moms and babies. Instructor: Kelsey Wilson
This class is designed to go deeper into the healing and recovery process for women after delivery. The class focuses on strengthening the pelvic floor, the transverse abdominals, and the lower back as well as providing release to the shoulders, neck and chest. This class is intended for moms to come alone without their baby. It is recommended that women begin postnatal yoga 6-8 weeks after delivery. Instructor: Kelsey Wilson
Katonah Yoga puts you in the center of yourself so you can explore the center to the circumference. Using a Taoist approach and sacred geometry you will be informed that the body is designed to fit. The fit not only fits your own body but the universe as well. The poses are an archetype form and in this way we know that we do not come to the yoga mat to do “us”. We come to change our self using our personal road map (our body). Instructor: Kat Botell
